Are you required to have a sexual harassment policy? Here are the legal requirements: 1. If you have 6 or more employees you must have a written policy against sexual harassment. 2. New employees must receive a written copy of the policy 3. Employer must distribute the policy to all employees on a yearly basis.
How do you protect your company against sexual harassment claims? You should consider purchasing an EPLI policy. Not only will you be covered for sexual harassment, but also: wrongful termination, discrimination, defamation, failure to promote, failure to employ and invasion of privacy. Policies typically have a minumum premium on $500.
